Had cocktails very well made

La Valencia was perfect for our daughter's wedding. The overall vibe was exactly what we were looking for - personal, classy, vintage, and comfortable. The venue was the perfect size for our 60-person wedding, and so beautiful with the ocean backdrop and landscape. There are lots of amazing spots for photography. From the moment we toured the venue, to planning details along the way, to the big day, communication was excellent. The hotel suggested vendors for our wedding that made vendor selection easy, especially since we live in Arizona, and all of them were equally fantastic. The service the entire weekend was outstanding. The bridal suite was a fantastic space for the girls to get ready, made even better by the mimosas and treats the staff brought up. The team also went above and beyond for our family, even using the hotel golf carts to shuttle the grandparents to nearby restaurants so they wouldn't have to walk far. We had a family dinner at The Mediterranean restaurant a couple of days before the wedding, and the meal and service was superb. The food at the wedding was top-notch, with many guests raving about the meal. I was impressed with the number of wait staff who made sure the evening went smoothly. I was so busy with our daughter's wedding I plan to come back again just for a relaxing getaway. Overall, it was an incredible event, and we highly recommend La Valencia hotel.

We had an exceptional experience at La Valencia, easily one of the best properties we’ve stayed at. Our room was outstanding—comfortable, well-appointed, and exactly what we’d hoped for. The service truly set this place apart. The staff was stellar from start to finish, with everything we requested arriving promptly. They consistently went out of their way to help with whatever we needed, and that level of care made all the difference. Shoutout to Aaron and Grace! The location is equally impressive, putting us right where we wanted to be. And the pool was a highlight—perfectly maintained with an ideal water temperature that made every dip enjoyable. We can’t recommend La Valencia highly enough and look forward to returning.

Beautiful place to stay when visiting La Jolla! Great views of the ocean, beautiful sunsets, a great pool area with a bar and good and plenty of shops and restaurants to walk to nearby.

My wife and I fell in love with LaValencia a few years ago, and were delighted when our daughter Brittany and her husband Brandon decided to have their wedding there this September. From our first interaction with Bobby Fader, LaValencia's Director of Catering, he was a complete professional, and his assistant Dani was attentive, knowledgeable and amazing. As we live in the Chicago area and the bride and groom in L.A., their referrals for local florists, venues for after party and talent were all top notch. The day of the wedding we were so very well taken care of, with Dani seemingly everywhere at one time! We are so very grateful to the entire staff for helping us to put together this dream wedding, and we recommend LaValencia for anyone who wants to have an amazing event in one of the most beautiful venues in California.

Good food, friendly staff, amazing views. The ocean front is only one block away where you will find yourself on green grass surrounded by huge trees. Snorkeling is great on clear days.

What a gorgeous boutique hotel! I came here to scout for a possible location for a corporate party, but I fell in love and started to plan my next staycation. Great location, very cozy and upscale vibe, beautiful setting and views. The fresh flower arrangements are phenomenal. Their spa is opening at the end of May - I will need to check it out. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and pleasant to talk to.

This is the spot! Spent our wedding night with panoramic views of the La Jolla coastline. This hotel strikes the right balance of history, elegance, comfort, and care. Their staff are superb. If you enjoy staying at a nice hotel, you've found it.
