San Diego Botanic Garden: Art & Sculpture

Spend the day exploring lush garden paths, peaceful scenery, flowering plants, palms, and California’s largest bamboo collection. From desert landscapes to tropical rainforest settings with waterfalls, the garden features a variety of microclimates within a four-mile radius. Highlights include sculpture gardens, rare bamboo groves, herb gardens, desert gardens, Mediterranean landscapes, tropical fruit gardens, and Hamilton Children’s Garden with interactive play areas like Toni’s Tree House.

Are Pets Allowed At The San Diego Botanic Garden?

In order to keep the gardens clean and well maintained, pets are not welcome at SDBG unless it is a licensed service animal. We do encourage you to tell your pets all about the beautiful gardens and lovely sightseeing you did when you get home.

Does The San Diego Botanic Garden Have Any Restrictions On Photography?

Yes and no. Personal photography is allowed and is highly encouraged during public hours, free of charge. If your images or videos are for professional or commercial use, a Photography and Filming Application, a Hold Harmless Agreement and a licensing fee must be submitted prior to any pictures or videos being taken.
