Had cocktails very well made

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Insanely beautiful location with an amazing staff. Everyone from valet, to front desk, to housekeeping made me feel so welcomed and relaxed. I love enjoying an old fashioned in La Sala and soaking in the ocean views. Truly a 5 star stay.

Amazing hotel, location, and service.

I attended tea with my sisters during Christmas. The servers, I think Ashley and Aaron, where so kind to us. I had some allergies I informed them about, and they helped me pick out the items I could drink. They had some Sparkling cider for me since I do not drink wine or champagne. It was such a lovely experience. The tea did get cold after a while since there was not a place to keep the tea pots warm. I grew up coming to La Valencia for special occasions and I am excited to start coming back to enjoy the view of the ocean and the enjoyable experience.

We had a very nice dinner here. We had a variety dinner. Lamb, chicken, shrimp and pasta. All of it was well prepared and presented and we all enjoyed very much.

Beautiful historic hotel with amazing ocean views and a perfect location in the heart of La Jolla. Our room was comfortable, the pool area was great for relaxing, and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful. A classic, charming stay — we’d definitely come back.

La Valencia Hotel had a Christmas Tea this past year that I attended with some family members. I loved the ambience of the hotel as soon as I stepped into the main lobby. All the staff were attentive and friendly. The room that the tea was held in had an ocean view and the weather that day was beautiful. The food and drinks were exceptional … and the “wow factor” for me was when the food carriers were brought out and ‘mist’ was slowly billowing from them caused by dry ice! So fun to see and made a special moment in the event. My family is hoping to make this a family tradition every year.

Absolutely Beautiful!! Our room in the Tower was exquisite. A stunning view of the ocean and beautiful sunset. We had a daily visit from a friendly "western seagull". The seals were talktive. I can't wait to visit La Jolla again.

Perfect location, amazing food, staff is friendly and helpful

This hotel is centrally located to shops and restaurants in La Jolla, and more importantly it’s a very short walk to the cove and to the coastal walk where you can watch the sea lions and seals. The hotel itself has an awesome vibe. It’s on the Historical Hotels of America list. The pink lady and spa candles by the front desk smell so good! Front desk staff is very attentive and nice. Smooth check in and check out processes. They’re very helpful if you need anything during your stay, too (you can text for anything you need which is very convenient). The room was awesome. Highly recommend room 908 as it has a balcony where you can see the ocean. Only downside is that the fridge is more of a cooler, so you can’t use it for anything perishable. I would have preferred a fridge but it worked out for our stay. The room/ bed space was very clean. TV was good, but lacked some local sports. Bathroom was very spacious and clean. I love how big the shower area is. The spa is AMAZING! I highly recommend a massage with Ruth. She’s such a kind soul and knows how to provide a relaxing experience. The spa is very clean and has everything you’d need. The views are really cool from so many parts of this hotel. We didn’t try the hotel restaurant but it seemed popular. My husband got some drinks by the pool one day and they were a little overpriced but he enjoyed them. The valet staff is very attentive, friendly, and on top of things. They kept our rental car safe and also drove us to dinner one day in the pink hotel golf cart which was a fun experience! They were super helpful loading and unloading the car too. If you download the Zybra Plus App, you can have access to a free bike (2 hours) or e-bike (1 hour) rental. Very easy process and hotel bikes are in the valet lot across the street from the hotel.
