Super friendly staff!

This hotel is gorgeous and really shines once you walk in from the street. We had booked an ocean room view in the tower and unfortunately, it was on the side facing some construction. The front desk went above and beyond to move us and we ended up with the most amazing corner room with views from both windows. The pool is beautiful and the staff and concierge are amazing too. Can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful place to stay when visiting La Jolla! Great views of the ocean, beautiful sunsets, a great pool area with a bar and good and plenty of shops and restaurants to walk to nearby.

La Valencia was perfect for our daughter's wedding. The overall vibe was exactly what we were looking for - personal, classy, vintage, and comfortable. The venue was the perfect size for our 60-person wedding, and so beautiful with the ocean backdrop and landscape. There are lots of amazing spots for photography. From the moment we toured the venue, to planning details along the way, to the big day, communication was excellent. The hotel suggested vendors for our wedding that made vendor selection easy, especially since we live in Arizona, and all of them were equally fantastic. The service the entire weekend was outstanding. The bridal suite was a fantastic space for the girls to get ready, made even better by the mimosas and treats the staff brought up. The team also went above and beyond for our family, even using the hotel golf carts to shuttle the grandparents to nearby restaurants so they wouldn't have to walk far. We had a family dinner at The Mediterranean restaurant a couple of days before the wedding, and the meal and service was superb. The food at the wedding was top-notch, with many guests raving about the meal. I was impressed with the number of wait staff who made sure the evening went smoothly. I was so busy with our daughter's wedding I plan to come back again just for a relaxing getaway. Overall, it was an incredible event, and we highly recommend La Valencia hotel.

You can't go wrong at la Valencia, beautiful ocean view with live singer, and delicious tapas and beverages.

I found this beautiful hotel through their Instagram! Their Instagram page captures this special place so well but it is even more beautiful in person! Their hospitality is incredible and it was such a wonderful experience!!! So beautiful!

This hotel is centrally located to shops and restaurants in La Jolla, and more importantly it’s a very short walk to the cove and to the coastal walk where you can watch the sea lions and seals. The hotel itself has an awesome vibe. It’s on the Historical Hotels of America list. The pink lady and spa candles by the front desk smell so good! Front desk staff is very attentive and nice. Smooth check in and check out processes. They’re very helpful if you need anything during your stay, too (you can text for anything you need which is very convenient). The room was awesome. Highly recommend room 908 as it has a balcony where you can see the ocean. Only downside is that the fridge is more of a cooler, so you can’t use it for anything perishable. I would have preferred a fridge but it worked out for our stay. The room/ bed space was very clean. TV was good, but lacked some local sports. Bathroom was very spacious and clean. I love how big the shower area is. The spa is AMAZING! I highly recommend a massage with Ruth. She’s such a kind soul and knows how to provide a relaxing experience. The spa is very clean and has everything you’d need. The views are really cool from so many parts of this hotel. We didn’t try the hotel restaurant but it seemed popular. My husband got some drinks by the pool one day and they were a little overpriced but he enjoyed them. The valet staff is very attentive, friendly, and on top of things. They kept our rental car safe and also drove us to dinner one day in the pink hotel golf cart which was a fun experience! They were super helpful loading and unloading the car too. If you download the Zybra Plus App, you can have access to a free bike (2 hours) or e-bike (1 hour) rental. Very easy process and hotel bikes are in the valet lot across the street from the hotel.
