We had an exceptional experience at La Valencia, easily one of the best properties we’ve stayed at. Our room was outstanding—comfortable, well-appointed, and exactly what we’d hoped for. The service truly set this place apart. The staff was stellar from start to finish, with everything we requested arriving promptly. They consistently went out of their way to help with whatever we needed, and that level of care made all the difference. Shoutout to Aaron and Grace! The location is equally impressive, putting us right where we wanted to be. And the pool was a highlight—perfectly maintained with an ideal water temperature that made every dip enjoyable. We can’t recommend La Valencia highly enough and look forward to returning.

I don't know how to articulate my affection for La Valencia. This is not just a hotel; it is a destination. It is a paradise. It is a place you can walk into after a terrible day and have all of that dissolve upon entering. The environment here "holds you" like nothing I've ever experienced. It's not enough to say the Spanish architecture and high ceilings are elegant, or the view is stunning. La Valencia and the people who work here are SO SO much more than that. I have been lucky enough to stay here so much over the past two months that I feel like a resident guest who tries to optimize daily rates by creating different bookings and changing rooms to avoid having to leave at all. I know this review isn't necessary; there's no shortage of patrons wanting to book, or to come back if they've stayed before. I walk into this space and the energy alone shifts my mood and my mind, to the point at which it feels like my words will do a disservice by failing to convey how incredibly unique and special it is to be here. I think that's why it's taken me so long to write this. I can't convey how grateful I am to be here or how amazing this environment is... I have been all over the country and the world, and this is a truly unparalleled experience.

We had a wonderful stay at La Valencia. The moment we arrived it felt cozy and the staff were welcoming and attentive. The location is perfect — within walking distance of great restaurants and the cove where you can see the seals. We will definally come back again

An iconic San Diego landmark. I grew up here and remember my father bringing home a 6ft halibut he had speared skin diving in LA Jolla Cove in the 1950's. The morning after I was married my new husband and I came to LA Valencia for the FANTASTIC gourmet Sunday brunch buffet they served 36 years ago. We have stopped in periodically since, and decided to book a room to celebrate 36 years of marriage. What matters to me most in a hotel is the kindness and hospitality of the staff. The location, cleanliness, amenities are important as well, but if I am treated rudely at check in it is hard to be comfortable in a place. From the beginning we experienced only pleasant, professional and helpful people. Lovely. They also gave us the best table overlooking the ocean for our brunch booking. We didn't request it, but we got it...yay. What a wonderful and tranquil spot to enjoy La Jolla. Thank you to everyone for our 36th anniversary stay couldn't have been better. My only note would be to bring back that amazing Sunday brunch buffet....I miss it. Thanks again.

Hotel was amazing. Great views and very central. Mark S was the best concierge and gave us amazing recs in the area! Overall one of the best experiences.

Beautiful hotel and one employee Diego went above and beyond helping retrieve an item of ours that fell behind a crevice on property during a wedding. We really appreciate it and will always remember La Valencia fondly because of Diego!

Amenities of this place is epic, and the views iconic. I think the most European coastal hotel in all of Southern California. Really giving amalfi/positano vibes here
