A The wellbeing of our guests and associates is of paramount importance. We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World HealthOrganization's statements regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and following guidelines from these agencies and the local health departments. We will waive cancellation fees for reservations cancelled 3 days prior to arrival by 12 PM PST.
A We are more focused than ever on providing a safe and comfortable stay for our guests and are following the guidance of local health authorities, the CDC and World Health Organization. Clean and Safety
A Our pool and jacuzzi are currently open and furniture has been rearranged to allow for social distancing. In accordance with state guidelines, only one household group is allowed inside the jacuzzi at a time.

Yes, our restaurants are currently open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner with brunch available on Saturday and Sunday. We're currently accepting dining reservations through OpenTable.

We're open for outdoor dining only as of Nov. 14 in accordance with county and state regulations. 

Café La Rue is temporarily closed in accordance with county and state guidelines.

A La Valencia is 13.5 miles from the San Diego International Airport. Get on I-5 N from N Harbor Dr, follow I-5 N to La Jolla Pkwy. Take exit 26A and continue on La Jolla Pkwy. Take Torrey Pines Rd and turn right to arrive at our hotel.
A To achieve social distancing requirements, we are offering self-parking only for guests. Valet parking is currently unavailable.
A Yes, we pride ourselves in being a pet-friendly property. Feel free to bring your four-legged companions along to make your La Jolla beach getaway complete. We charge an additional fee of $50 per pet per day. We also offer our Pampered Pooches Package which includes a plush dog bed and dog bowls placed in room during your stay, $25 daily credit for your pooch to enjoy our dog menu, a pink La Valencia tennis ball and waived nightly pet fee.
A The La Jolla Cove is San Diego's officially designated area for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Explore along the massive cliffs and through the ancient sea caves for close encounters with colorful fish and sea lions.
A Check in begins at 4pm. Check out is at 12pm.
A If you will be arriving earlier than 4pm, please notate this in the notes section of your reservation. While an early check-in is not guaranteed, we will make our best effort to accommodate this. Our team would be happy to store your luggage if your room is not ready before our guaranteed check-in time so you can enjoy our hotel and La Jolla Village.
A The $35.00 (plus taxes) daily resort fee at our luxury hotel includes overnight parking for one vehicle, complimentary coffee and tea, daily newspaper, postage on domestic mail, incoming/outgoing fax services, local and toll-free calls and copy services up to 10 pages.
A Located on the west portion of our property, the Villa complex is directly adjacent to our Ocean View Pool. Take a quick elevator ride or a relaxing walk down our beautiful Spanish tile steps to get to both of our restaurants, located at the lobby level of the hotel.
A We do not currently have a two-bedroom suite but we do have many connecting rooms for families traveling together. Please call our reservations team directly to explore options.
A Yes, hotel staff is available 24/7 to check you into your room when you arrive.
A Reservations must be cancelled or modified up to 3 days prior to arrival, by 12PM PST to avoid forfeiture of reservation rates & taxes total.
A Yes, our reservations team would be happy to facilitate a gift card purchase with a credit card authorization form. Gift cards can be redeemed for hotel stays or dining in hotel restaurants.
A Our standard guestrooms accommodate two adults per room. There is an additional fee of $20 per person, per night for each additional guest 18 years or older. Guests 17 years old or younger stay for free. 
A Yes, The Med and La Sala Lounge are currently open for indoor and outdoor seating in accordance with San Diego County's safe reopening plan. We're currently accepting dining reservations through OpenTable. Café La Rue is temporarily closed.
A If you will be arriving earlier than our guaranteed check-in time of 4:00pm, please notate this in the comments section of your reservation. While we will make our best efforts to accommodate your early arrival, should your room not be ready in time, we'd be happy to store your luggage in the meantime for you to begin enjoying our pool, have a drink in La Sala or on our Oceanview Terrace or wander the many shops and galleries on our street.

A While our rooms don't have fridges, they do have minibars that can keep non-perishable items comfortably cool.
