A The wellbeing of our guests and associates is of paramount importance. We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World HealthOrganization's statements regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and following guidelines from these agencies and the local health departments. We will waive cancellation fees up to 6:00pm on date of arrival for all guests traveling outbound to San Diego, CA for hotel stays through June 15, 2020.
A Yes, guests at La Valencia can choose from three onsite dining options. From our Euro-style bistro Café La Rue to the Spanish-inspired La Sala Lounge, to our Mediterranean restaurant "The MED", guests can enjoy a vibrant dining scene with exclusive ocean views at our La Jolla hotel.
A La Valencia is 13.5 miles from the San Diego International Airport. Get on I-5 N from N Harbor Dr, follow I-5 N to La Jolla Pkwy. Take exit 26A and continue on La Jolla Pkwy. Take Torrey Pines Rd and turn right to arrive at our hotel.
A We provide valet parking facilities for one vehicle per night with unlimited in and out privileges. Parking for private vehicles is included in the Resort Fee, with additional charges for recreation vehicles and trailers. There are no self-parking accommodations available at the property. We also provide accessible parking.
A Yes, we pride ourselves in being a pet-friendly property. Feel free to bring your four-legged companions along to make your La Jolla beach getaway complete. We charge an additional fee of $50 per pet per day.
A The La Jolla Cove is San Diego's officially designated area for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Explore along the massive cliffs and through the ancient sea caves for close encounters with colorful fish and sea lions.
A Check in begins at 4pm. Check out is at 12pm.
A If you will be arriving earlier than 4pm, please notate this in the notes section of your reservation. While an early check-in is not guaranteed, we will make our best effort to accommodate this. Our team would be happy to store your luggage if your room is not ready before our guaranteed check-in time so you can enjoy our hotel and La Jolla Village.
A The $35.00 (plus taxes) daily resort fee at our luxury hotel includes overnight valet parking for one vehicle, 24-hour fitness center access, in-room coffee and tea, daily newspaper, postage on domestic mail, incoming/outgoing fax services, local and toll-free calls and copy services up to 10 pages.
A Located on the west portion of our property, the Villa complex is directly adjacent to our Ocean View Pool. Take a quick elevator ride or a relaxing walk down our beautiful Spanish tile steps to get to both of our restaurants, located at the lobby level of the hotel.
A We do not currently have a two-bedroom suite but we do have many connecting rooms for families traveling together. Please call our reservations team directly to explore options.
A Yes, hotel staff is available 24/7 to check you into your room when you arrive.
A Reservations must be cancelled or modified up to 3 days prior to arrival, by 12PM PST to avoid forfeiture of reservation rates & taxes total.
A Yes, our reservations team would be happy to facilitate a gift card purchase with a credit card authorization form. Gift cards can be redeemed for hotel stays or dining in hotel restaurants.
A Our standard guestrooms accommodate two adults per room. There is an additional fee of $20 per person, per night for each additional guest 18 years or older. Guests 17 years old or younger stay for free. 
A 1-Day Pass at the San Diego Zoo costs $56 per adult (12 and above) and $46 per child (age 3-11), and includes admission plus unlimited use of the Guided Bus Tour, Express Bus and Skyfari Aerial tram. Kids 2 and under can enter for free. Also, every year all through the month of October, children 11 and younger can enjoy free entry to the Zoo.
