A Check in begins at 4:00pm. Check out is at 12:00pm.
A Yes, guests at La Valencia can choose from three onsite dining options. Hours of operation and service protocols are currently subject to change. From our Euro-style bistro Café La Rue to the Spanish-inspired La Sala Bar, to our Mediterranean restaurant "The Med", guests can enjoy a vibrant dining scene with exclusive ocean views at our La Jolla hotel.
A Our pool is currently open and furniture has been rearranged to allow for social distancing. The pool bar is also open to enjoy food and drinks.
A To achieve social distancing requirements, we are offering self-parking only at this time in our monitored parking lot. Valet parking is currently unavailable. Parking for one vehicle is included in the Resort Fee, with additional charges for recreation vehicles and trailers. We also provide accessible parking.
A The $35.00 (plus taxes) daily resort fee at our luxury hotel includes overnight parking for one vehicle, morning coffee and tea, daily newspaper, postage on domestic mail, incoming/outgoing fax services, local and toll-free calls and copy services up to 10 pages.
A If you will be arriving earlier than our guaranteed check-in time of 4:00pm, please notate this in the comments section of your reservation. While we will make our best efforts to accommodate your early arrival, should your room not be ready in time, we'd be happy to store your luggage in the meantime for you to begin enjoying our pool, have a drink in La Sala or on our Oceanview Terrace or wander the many shops and galleries on our street.
A A member of our team is ready to welcome you and check you in 24/7 at the front desk.
A We do not have a two-bedroom suite but we do have many connecting rooms for families traveling together. Please call our reservations team directly for our options.
A While our rooms don't have fridges, they do have minibars that can keep drinks comfortably cool.
A Yes, we pride ourselves in being a pet-friendly property. Feel free to bring your four-legged companions along to make your La Jolla beach getaway complete. We charge an additional fee of $50 per pet per day.
A Reservations must be cancelled or modified up to 3 days prior to arrival, by 12PM PST to avoid forfeiture of reservation rates & taxes total.
A Located on the west portion of our property, the Villa complex is directly adjacent to our Ocean View Pool. Take a quick elevator ride or a relaxing walk down our beautiful Spanish tile steps to get to both of our restaurants, located at the lobby level of the hotel.
A Yes, if you would like to purchase a room for someone as a gift, please contact our Reservations department process this with a credit card authorization form.
A La Valencia is 13.5 miles from the San Diego International Airport. Get on I-5 N from N Harbor Dr, follow I-5 N to La Jolla Pkwy. Take exit 26A and continue on La Jolla Pkwy. Take Torrey Pines Rd and turn right to arrive at our hotel.
A The La Jolla Cove is San Diego's officially designated area for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Explore along the massive cliffs and through the ancient sea caves for close encounters with colorful fish and sea lions.
A Yes. Enjoy live music from local favorites on Patio Sol every Friday and Saturday from 4:00-7:00pm.
