EXHIBIT OPENS JUNE 10, 2014
Harrison Howard is the son of Wing Howard, an artist best known in San Diego for his murals at the historic La Valencia Hotel, first painted in the 1940’s. The three large mural panels of Parisian scenes that are now featured in the popular Café la Rue are all works by Wing Howard.
Harrison has also made his career as an artist. Much of his professional career has been devoted to mural work in private houses, and has included screens, panels, easel paintings, and watercolors. Primarily, his work has focused on decorative themes including architectural subjects, chinoiseries, and scenic’s, often with bird, animal or floral motifs. His work currently on display in the lobby at La Valencia Hotel typifies the chinoiserie themes that he is particularly known for. He is represented through a number of businesses across the United States and may be contacted most easily via his website at www.harrisonhoward.com, where he offers limited edition prints. Additional examples of his work may be seen on www.tigerflowerstudio.com, some of which currently hang in the La Valencia lobby.

"THE ART OF HESSAM ABRISHAMI & TUAN NGUYEN"
ON DISPLAY: NOW - AUG, 31 2014 | IN THE GALERIA ROOM
Hessam Abrishami is still driven by the deeply felt values that he developed during his early days in Iran and Europe. Understanding the struggles encountered by emerging artists, Hessam has always been willing to help new artists develop their careers. Hessam believes strongly in the goodness of people and this world, which is reflected in not only his art, but in his personal values. Hessam additionally creates some artistic statements that defy oppression.
Tuan Nyguyen's artwork radiates peacefulness and serenity through graceful lines and rhythmic compositions so that while glorifying the human body, he at the same time glorifies the human spirit, exalting the exhilarating experience of life. Tuan Nguyen infuses his sculpture with a celestial beauty that carries his human forms beyond earthly existence and into the realm of the heavenly in a quiet celebration of life. Though cast in bronze, his forms appear to be magically suspended like angels on the wing.
Artwork is provided by and on sale through Monarch Fine Art.
